*CALL TO WORSHIP:
L: We know your word calls us into communion with God
and with each other.
P: And calling us into discipleship to carry on Christ's
work in our world.
L: So we come together here, joining in the great quest:
ALL: To worship God, to love one another, and to
serve the world.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
In Jesus Christ you teach us to love our neighbors, but we
build dividing walls of hostility. You show us to love one another
as brothers and sisters, but we hide ourselves from our own
human families. You ask us to seek out the stranger and welcome the guest, but we lock ourselves up inside our own views and fears. You want us to share your abundant gifts with the poor, but we cling tightly to our possessions. You call us to proclaim good news to ALL people, but we pick and choose who, and waste our words, and actions, and hide our light from others.Forgive our sins, open our hearts, and change our lives. By your spirit, make us holy and whole-one people, united in faith, hope and love and the greatest being love, thru Jesus Christ. Amen.
